A Minor Facelift
I was going through some pix and came across one I took while Sage Hen hunting in Nevada in October 2007.
I was coming down Rodeo Creek and stopped to take a shot of the Montana range which is across King’s River Valley.
The picture turned out really well, and thought I would change my blog css a bit to accommodate the picture. I GIMPed it and placed it into my blog page header.
In light of the new layout, I modified the basic color scheme of the background to better match the header picture.
The page background is simply a snippet of part of the Montana range. I softened and flipped/rotated it to give it some symmetry. I reasoned that a background taken from the picture itself should match just fine.
I’ve never used earth tones before apart from greens, so I’ll see how I like this.
I think the picture of us stuffing sagebrush under the trailer wheels so it wouldn’t tip over woulda been nice.
Or howbout you hiking up the hill to bring me an ice cold Fat Tire?,
or howbout the shot of Jim’s Garlicky Browns when the cover just came off?
Or the shot of Jimmy kneeling at the Wild Horse alter?
I could go on and on.
(wouldna missed it for the world)
Comment by Shortnugly — August 24, 2008 @ 22:42That was a great time for sure.
I’m going to take as many of my Hunting/Outdoors pix as possible and trim them to fit the header.
I’m going to put in some code which will rotate the header image (as soon as I get some time).
I might be able to get it done before I come out for the Deer/Sheep hunt next month.
